Find the coordinates of the turning points of the curve C, defined by y = x^3 - x?

turning points occur where there is a local max or min

y'=3x^2 -1

3x^2-1=0

3x^2=1

x^2=1/3

x=1/sqrt3, -1/sqrt3

plug this x value into the original equation to find the y value and that is your turning point.
