Please explain each step of ELLIS REBT. In your answer please define A_B_C_D_E_and F?

Basically, REBT is used to change the POV of a person toward the situation. Different people can have different reaction toward a situation depending on their beliefs.

'A' stand for the 'Activating events'. This refers to the events/situation happening around the person.

'B' stand for 'Beliefs'. This is the person's beliefs system, which may determine the way a person react toward the activating events.

'C' stands for 'Consequences'. This is the consequences that the activating events have on the person.

'D' stands for 'Dispute'. Actually, D here is a process in which the therapist dispute/ change the person's beliefs (B) toward the event (A) so that the event may have different consequences (C) toward the person. By changing the beliefs, the person may now have effective new thinking (E) to replace the previous negative reaction toward the event.

You can find more about REBT by searching it in Google/Yahoo.

Hope that'll help you a bit.
